As we return to school, we are continuing our Jack and the Beanstalk story work, but will be reading alternative versions of the traditional tale we have learnt. There has been some excitement about the 'magic' beans we have started to grow in our classroom and the children have been creating all sorts of imaginary adventures! 

During phonics lessons, we will be consolidating our knowledge of Phase 3 sounds and reading longer words. We are also learning about measuring and comparing lengths and heights, and learning about time. We have learnt a song about the days of the week to help us remember the order of the days and have started thinking about the changing season.
