We are celebrating World Book Day on Thursday and this week our learning throughout school will be based around the focus of ' Take One Book'. The story we have selected for all classes to focus on is 'I Want A Dog' by J. Agee. However, the Happy Hedgehogs will also be reading a related story by Mick Inkpen and looking at non-fiction texts about different pets.

 We have enjoyed outdoor role-play and drama tasks as we acted out shopping for different pets. We then wrote our own class story ' I Want A Hedgehog'. 

We listened to the story of ' The Very Helpful Hedgehog' by R. Wellesley and talked about the importance of listening to others, kindness and friendship.
