KS1 Inclusive Dodgeball
This week, Miss Pritchard accompanied a group of enthusiastic Year 1 and Year 2 pupils to Derby Arena for an inclusive dodgeball competition, organised by our new sports provider, RS Coaching. The event was a fantastic opportunity for the children to develop their teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment.
This session was designed to highlight and encourage fair play, closely tied to our school values of respect and honesty. The children demonstrated respect by congratulating the opposing team and showed honesty by admitting when they were out—true ambassadors of our ethos.
They were absolutely fantastic throughout and represented the school brilliantly. Although many were unfamiliar with dodgeball at the start, by the end they had mastered the game like pros!
