Week 5
On Friday, it was World Mental Health Day. Throughout the school. all the children came wearing a green accessory, and it was so good to see so many of the Year 3 pupils joining in with this too.
The children discussed different emotions and how it was totally acceptable to feel these emotions - whether it was joy, happiness, elation, or sadness, anger or anxiety. We talked about ways in which we can help to improve our mental health and introduced 'Zentangles' to the children. Whilst listening to calming piano music, the children developed their zentangle designs in lots of creative ways. The children discussed how this activity made them feel happy, calm and relaxed. We look forward to continuing these further throughout the year.
