We return for our last half-term in reception as Happy Hedgehogs! We will therefore be building in lots of preparation and transition opportunities to ensure the children move smoothly into Year 1 following the summer holidays.                  This week we are reading a traditional story- The Gingerbread Man and will be thinking about characters in our story books while we read On The Way Home by J. Murphy. During phonic lessons, we are consolidating our knowledge of all phonemes, digraphs and trigraphs we have been taught and learning to read four-letter words that contain long vowel sounds.
