This week, the children enjoyed a visit from a representative of the House of Parliament. They learned how the House of Commons and the House of Lords operate and asked thoughtful, insightful questions about voting and democracy.

In PSHE, the children have begun exploring the topic of Money as part of their financial literacy work, learning about the different types of bank accounts available and worked as groups to match the correct account to a variety of needs.

In History, the children took part in a 'silent' debate about who had the stronger claim to the throne: Queen Elizabeth I or Mary, Queen of Scots. They thoroughly enjoyed the discussion (on paper!) and put forward some well-reasoned arguments on both sides.
