This week, we began our first English writing unit based on The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We will be writing a set of instructions and enjoyed our hook lesson where we learnt the importance of adding details to our instructions! Miss Shepherd challenged everyone to write a set of instructions for how to make the perfect jam sandwich. She then followed some of the examples with hilarious (and messy!!) results! We finished the week learning more about imperative verbs and adverbials.
