Week 2 - Junior Medics Training
This week, we were very lucky to take part in Junior Medics training with Keepabeat! We had a fantastic time while learning lots of important life-saving skills.
During the session, we learnt:
⭐ What first aid is and why it is important
⭐ How to stay safe and spot hazards around us
⭐ How to call 999 in an emergency
⭐ What you might find in a first aid kit
We also practised how to help in different situations, including:
⭐ Treating burns
⭐ Dealing with cuts and grazes
⭐ Bandaging
⭐ Understanding head injuries
⭐ Helping someone who is unconscious
⭐ Putting someone into the recovery position
⭐ What to do if someone is choking
We were amazing throughout the training. We listened carefully, took part confidently and showed great care and responsibility when practising our skills. Miss Pritchard and Mrs Chapman feel that they are in very safe hands if there was ever an emergency!
As a follow-up task, we have been asked to learn our home address, so we are ready to share it if we ever need to make an emergency call.
Well done, everyone! 👏
