Week 3
This week, the children have continued with their artwork based on Paul Nash. Following on from learning about his work as a commissioned wartime artist, the children designed their own wartime art based on the Blitz from World War 2. They used watercolour washes and silhouette skylines of London. Using this design, the children will over the next few weeks develop these ideas further to create a screen print of this image.
In computing, the children have been creating their own spreadsheets. They have worked really hard to understand how cells can be used to input formulae into and then let the spreadsheet work out calculations for the user. The children have begun to create their own holiday booking spreadsheets, adding formulae to calculate the cost of adults and children on a holiday abroad.
