This week, the children have been learning about angles in maths.  They used masking tape to create lines and shapes on their tables and began to measure the angles using a protractor. After a while, the children recognised different patterns in these angles. Many saw how opposite angles around a point were equal and that angles around a point totalled 360 degrees. The children then looked at angles around parallel lines. The class really enjoyed this lesson, especially having the chance to draw on the tables, and were able to apply a variety of mathematical knowledge to their learning about geometry.
