In computing this half term, we have been learning about desktop publishing. Today, we thought about why desktop publishers are used and their benefits. We were set a challenge to create a poster for a school party. We created ones on paper and Miss Pritchard used a desktop publisher. When we had finished, we discovered that the time of the party had changed and there was a spelling mistake in the original design brief. Miss Pritchard could make these changes really easily but we couldn't! We also discussed that she could produce multiple copies quicker than we could. However, we all agreed that the handmade posters looked nicer!
