Week 2
The Marvellous Mice have enjoyed continuing their English work on 'The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark'. This week we have been talking about words to describe feelings, powerful verbs and onomatopoeia. The children wrote sentences incorporating their ideas. We also discussed the importance of forming our letters correctly and writing on the lines.
In Science the work continued on our 'Everyday Materials' topic. The children explored a range of everyday objects, investigated what materials they were made from and discussed the properties of those materials. We learnt some new vocabulary including 'absorbent', 'rigid' and 'opaque'.
