Willington Warriors:
Our Willington Warriors are made up of three pupil representatives per class from Y3-Y6. They provide a valuable voice reflecting the thoughts and wishes of their class. Their recent initiatives have included getting more equipment to provide a natural habitat for insects and other animals and leading fundraising events for Children-in-Need, Save the Children and Comic Relief.
Here are some previous activities and events that our Willington Warriors have been involved in:
Christmas Cards
The eco-warriors have worked so hard using the left over newspaper, from our Art and Designer week, to make Christmas cards.
They have given up their break and lunch times and have worked really well as a team.
Well done eco-warriors!
Also a big thanks to those who ran the eco-warrior stall at the Christmas fair.
Travel Smart Week
Monday 21st - Friday 25th October
Well done to the eco-warriors for talking about 'Travel Smart Week' during assembly.
Let's try to think about being more active and more environmentally friendly, when travelling to school.
Book Hedgehogs
We have had great fun, joining forces with the school council, to create these amazing book hedgehogs to sell at the Summer Fayre.
Bottle Top Christmas Trees
Thank you so much to everyone who donated plastic bottle tops for our recycling project. We had great fun making these bottle top Christmas trees - they look great, adding a little extra sparkle around school.
