Autumn 1: All About Me
This half term our topic is ‘All About Me!’ and so the children will be doing lots of work around starting school, routines and rules at school, families and friends, the body & senses and likes and dislikes.
As we start the new school year, we will be reading books about starting school, families, traditional stories and looking at the Oxford Reading Tree characters, starting to recognise the characters for when the children begin to take reading books home. The children will be learning about rhyme; how words sound similar and making rhyming strings.
