Whew - what a first week back! It was so lovely to see so many of you at the Book Cafe on Thursday for World Book Day. The children looked great in all their costumes and Mrs Spencer-Lovesey read to the children in our reading garden too!
Our book of the week this week was: The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson.
Phonics
This half-term is all about consolidating all those new digraphs and trigraphs we learnt before February half-term.
This week we recapped - ai, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar, or, ur, oo, ow, oi and ear.
We also recapped all the Phase 3 tricky words - we are doing really well with these!
We read words like: tail, main, feel, deep, right, fight, load, soap, food, boot, hard, bar, born, sort, surf, curl, foot, took, down, town, join, coil, hear and beard.
