Week 6

We have enjoyed our online session with Andrea, an archeologist at Creswell Crags, Nottinghamshire this week. The archaeologists at Creswell Crags are renowned for their pre-historic knowledge throughout Britain and have lots of Stone Age artefacts, fossils and relics. We all thought that the mammoth tooth was amazing- it was as large as Andrea’s head! We looked at many other objects including flints, hand axes, a carved stone pendant and a bone needle. Andrea later sent an email to say how impressed she was with our enthusiasm and knowledge. She thought we had lots of really interesting questions!

I have added a link below for your information, should you wish to take a trip to Creswell Crags to visit the caves in the gorge, see the cave art and many artefacts they have there.

We have also completed our Stone Age dance work this week. We learnt to dance in unison as a class and have also planned and performed our own group dance routines; considering levels, dynamics, formation, contact and working in canon.
