Week 1 and 2
What a start to school!
The new Happy Hedgehogs have settled into the classroom well, learning about all the areas we learn and play in. Over their staggered entry into school life, the children have gradually been introduced to the playground, the dining hall and the library. They are now managing their own dinner trays, enjoying being in the hall with other classes and playing on the large playground with the older children. We have experienced our first P.E. lessons in the hall and have started learning our first phonemes during our daily phonics lessons.
We have enjoyed joining in with the books- All Are Welcome by Penfold and Kaufman and The Wide Mouthed Frog by Keith Faulkner.
Some of the children have been very busy building hedgehog houses using different construction toys whilst playing, and we have all made our own handprinted hedgehogs.
