Week 2

In Maths this week we have been learning more about tens and ones and how 2-digit numbers are composed of these parts. For example, in the number 14 it is made up of 1 ten and 4 ones.

 

Looking in more detail at numbers up to 20, considering how many tens and ones make up the numbers, would help your child to embed this learning, which some children can find tricky initially when using this newer vocabulary. You could use the examples below to support.
