Week 3

Spring Term 1 - Week 3:

This week in maths, we have finished our unit of work on algebra.  We learnt how to solve simple equations using different letters and how a variety of puzzles could be solved by using algebra and bar models.

In history, we continued our learning about the Victorian era.  We discussed the expansion of the British Empire and how this had an impact on various parts of the world, for both good and bad.  The children have begun to write double page spreads about this learning in their history books.

In art, the children really enjoyed learning about the different buildings that Zaha Hadid designed.  Using images of these, the children sketched them in their sketch books and included both shading and perspective where needed.  Some examples of these can be found below.  We hope you like them.
