In Reception and Year 1, the children will be focusing on Pet, Farm and Zoo animals however the Year 2 children will need a bit more of a challenge.
I have based Literacy tasks around the Science we didn't manage to complete on life-cycles, growth and change of animals before the lock-down. We usually have caterpillars and raise them into butterflies in the class to do this work. It will therefore help if you look in the Additional Supporting Resources (with the big black arrow icon) first and watch film footage and information based around the life-cycle of a butterfly.
