Week 2
Summer Term 2 - Week 2:
This week, the children have begun an English topic based on the animation 'Alma'. They were given pieces of evidence about a girl who had gone 'missing' and had to work out what had happened to her. The children really enjoyed this 'hook lesson' at the start of the topic, and have now begun to develop their figurative language understanding so that they can begin to write a persuasive advert for the shop next week.
In art, the children have begun the new topic of 'human anatomy'. They began by drawing some superb sketches of the human body to proportion, before adding their choice of clothes onto them. The children are really proud of their work and some of their sketches can be seen below:
