🏡 📚 Home Learning Activities 📚 🏡

🦊 especially for the Fantastic Foxes 🦊

Summer Learning from June 2020 for EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2

Still working together as an infant team, Mrs Braddock and Miss Pritchard will be working in school a little more leaving Mrs Miller to take over infant home-schooling details on the website for the next few weeks.

We have decided to use whole school weekly ‘Learning Projects’ with the theme being the same for all year groups to help make learning easier to support across differing year groups. The activities will also be covered by the children within school and it will mean at home, brothers and sisters can learn together!

You will still be able to contact us all at school and through our parent contact…..

and also don't forget to tweet us if you have anything to share on Twitter.

We do love seeing all the work you are doing and the fun you are having at home but please remember to do as many of the activities or tasks as you feel you are able to manage. There is no expectation to complete all activities, as we recognise that each family is managing the best they can in different circumstances.

Last week, we put on our ‘Home Learning’ suggested timetables that are similar to the structures of our normal school day and may help you with timetabling activities at home. These will continue to apply should you wish to use them.

The additional websites we have suggested will also continue to be helpful especially the sites that the children have accounts for, as they contain key information and facts that each year group is advised to learn. Try to continue to use regularly….

  • Spelling Shed
  • Numbots
  • TTRock Stars (For older infants)

We have also put together some material to support you in talking to and preparing your children for some of the changes taking place in society, as a result of the Coronavirus. We hope this will continue to help support you further.

Previous Learning Content
I've added some extra activities that you can dip into as and when you would like (in addition to the weekly activities). These include phonics, writing, maths, science and well-being activities.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous Easter full of fun, chocolate 🍫 and treats 🐣. I hope you’ve been learning some new skills (like cooking, cleaning and gardening), have found a new hobby or learnt to play a new game.

Each week I will be posting some new ideas of things that you might like to have a go at each week. These will be a mixture of practising things that we have already learnt and learning some new things.
The BBC are launching daily lessons, which look fabulous! Don’t forget that there are also all of the lovely activities listed below and that we post new things on the website and Twitter as we find them.

There is no expectation to complete all of the work that is set. Please feel free to do as many (or as few) activities as you like. Please do not worry about school work! Home schooling is new to everyone and is difficult. Whatever you are doing is enough and is right for you and your family. I will get the children back on track when the time comes.

Whilst it is important to keep learning and stay busy, it is also important to stay happy and safe and to spend quality time together. What your child needs most is to share our calm, our strength and our laughter so that, in the future, they have nothing but happy memories of this time to share with their grandchildren! Please do not worry about whether your child is behind or ahead. They are exactly where they should be.

If you need anything, please contact me on Don’t forget to share anything, however big or small, with me via this email- I have loved seeing what you have been up to so far.

Stay safe. Keep happy. Be good and kind. Keep in touch.

💛👩🏻‍🏫 Miss Pritchard 👩🏻‍🏫💙

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful time at home with your family. I just wanted to post a few ideas on here of things that you can have a go at at home over the next two weeks and the Easter holidays. If we are closed beyond this, I will put on some more structured ideas.

For now, look after each other, stay in contact with family and friends over the phone/online, keep safe and have some much needed fun, relaxation and family time.

I am missing you all very much and hope that we will be back together in school soon!

From Miss Pritchard

(PS: Freddie is enjoying a relaxing stay with the kittens at my house and sends you all a big cuddle.)
