Week 6
Autumn Term - Week 6:
This week, the children have been using the Christmas Truce Sainsbury's advert from 2014 as a stimulus for their writing. They watched the video and then thought about the feelings of the different characters involved in the film. They then wrote a letter home to a loved one in the role of one of the soldiers on the front line, explaining what had happened in the build-up to the Christmas truce.
In art, the children have been busy creating Rangoli patterns. Basing their artwork on the techniques they have been developing with their geometric Islamic patterns, the children created their own design and then used a variety of seeds to create some fabulous symmetrical pieces of work. We hope that you enjoy these as much as the children enjoyed making them.
