Our penultimate week in Reception... the time has just flown by! This week was another busy one with an assembly by Robin and Angie from the Baptist Church, the summer Disco and a concert by the children who take part in the Rock Steady Sessions! 

 

Phonics

This week we read words ending in -er such as brighter, sleeper, painter, trainer, boaster and sweeter. Words ending in -est such as greenest, smartest, sweetest, clearest and brightest. We also reviewed words ending in -ing, -s, -es and -ed. I can't believe how much progress the children have made with their phonics this year - you should all be so proud of yourselves!

 

Our book of the week was...

A perceptive and poignant story,  this is the perfect book for discussing childhood worries and anxieties, no matter how big or small they may be.
