This week we started a new unit of work in English. We are focussing our learning around a text called 'The True Story of the Three Little Pigs'. The story is told from the Wolf's perspective - he thinks he's done nothing wrong! We are going to be writing a diary entry so this week we did something called 'feature spotting'. We were given an example of a diary entry and had to pick out the features such as:
- Date
- Dear diary
- First person (I, me, my, we, our, us)
- Past tense
- Time adverbials to show chronological order
- Thoughts and feelings / opinions
- Sign off (speak soon, love)
