Week 7

Black History Month

We have been learning about 'Black History Month' through our shared reading sessions. We learnt about the actress Issa Rae and how she has used her fame to work closely with organisations such as 'Black Lives Matter.'

We read a quote from Issa and discussed the meaning of what she had said. The children came up with lots of super thoughts and ideas before writing what they thought Issa was trying to get across to young people.

Parent's Evening

It was really lovely to see so many parents this week and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for all of your support. The children are working hard on their learning logs, are accessing spelling shed and are being heard read at home - this is all so valuable to your child's learning progress. Keep it up outstanding otters!
