The children came back to school full of excitement and stories about how they'd spent their half term holiday. Lots of chatter was had about pumpkins and Halloween and firework displays- which led on nicely for our poetry writing lessons.
They were keen to get back into their learning and enjoyed an unusual first day back dressed as rockstars to relaunch TT Rockstars. Each week, the children will have the opportunity to play on TT Rockstars to improve their times table recall. They will also be expected to play on this at home as part of their homework.
In class, we enjoyed working with the Year 6 children to learn how to log on to the app and to play the different games. We also had a go at designing our own rockstars.
This year, we will be working on the 2, 5, 10 and 3 times tables. This app also gives us the log in to Numbots (this is the same log in details). We can continue to play this to improve our knowledge of numbers and basic mental maths skills.
