Week 6

This week, we visited Derby Arena to watch their pantomime 'Mother Goose'. We had the greatest time and loved all the costumes and scenery. We were very excited to see a real band playing the music too. The grown ups were very impressed with our impeccable behaviour and how we showed our REACH values outside of school. Our elf, Charlie, really enjoyed coming too.

We have also enjoyed practicing our songs for next week's Christmas Concert. We hope to see lots of our families coming along on Monday to watch us. We will be performing 'It Was on a Starry Night' and 'Christmas Dinner' alongside Reception and Year 1. We have especially enjoyed learning some Makaton signs alongside our singing.

In RE, we have been continuing to learn about festival and special and sacred times. We have been enjoying the Christmas story and thinking about how Christians celebrate Christmas. This week, we learnt about why Christians celebrate this festival and we made our own Christingles.
