Week 1
The children have made a super start to the new year and have been learning about our new school moto and values.
We are encouraging them to 'reach' for success!
This week, we have successfully worked on Stop Frame Animation and made short films using the I.pads. After making rough flip books, we made pictures on boards, photographed them and then ran the sequence together to create an animation. We also had a few animations created using sequences of Lego models being built and then disassembled. The children have learnt a new term associated with animation- 'onion skinning'.
In addition, we have been working on our four times tables and related division facts. During writing lessons, we have learnt more about editing work and investigated magnets- testing the strengths of different types of magnets.
