In geography this week, we have been remembering the continents of the world and learning the names of the five oceans. We pretended to be pirates and sailed our ships around the oceans with a magnet. We enjoyed giving our friends instructions on where to sail and played a game with Miss Pritchard where we had to choose an ocean to sail to to guess where the treasure was.
We learnt a song about the oceans (to the tune of Frere Jacque):
The are five (There are five)
Salty oceans (Salty oceans).
In between the continents (In between the continents)
Let's name them (Let's name them).
Pacific Ocean (Pacific Ocean)
Atlantic Ocean (Atlantic Ocean).
