Grammar and Punctuation We aim to teach all aspects of grammar and punctuation explicitly within our English reading and writing lessons so that the content to be learnt holds more meaning for the children. However, we will introduce or reinforce knowledge and use of grammar and punctuation in short discrete lessons.
Within our English writing units of work following 'The Write Stuff', grammar is specifically taught through the 'Grammaristics' focused areas and is embedded into the lesson content. We have matched each focused area (Grammaristic lenses) to 2014 National Curriculum requirements and ordered criteria in a progression document.
