Week 3
Summer Term 2 - Week 3:
We have had another busy week in Year 6 this week. On Wednesday, the children took part in their final sports day at Willington. They enjoyed taking part in both track and field events in the afternoon where many displayed their skills as budding future athletes. It was also lovely to see how well the children were with the Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils in the morning though. They supported all of the younger children with their activities in the morning session, cheering them on and giving them encouragement too. They really were a credit to the school.
In art, the children have completed their batik designs. They used wax crayon to create a design on fabric and then used batik fabric dye to colour in their pieces of fabric. The children really enjoyed this activity and some of their final pieces of work can be seen below.
