We've had a fantastic first week back in Year 4 - the children have come to school everyday with smiles on their faces and ready to take on an exciting year ahead! Although it is only week one, we have already achieved some fantastic pieces of work...
In English, we discussed what we needed from ourselves, each other and adults in school to have a successful school year. Once we wrote down our favourite vocabulary, we created our own recipes for a great school year. We had some fabulous ingredients like 'a tub of determination,' 'a pinch of creativity' and 'a cup of optimism!'
We've created our own abstract self portraits inspired by Picasso. We looked at his style of art and had a lot of fun playing 'roll a Picasso' before having a go at our own. Take a look at how fab they look!
In light of the sad news of the Queens passing, to finish the week we created these lovely commemorative stamps in her honour. It was lovely to hear some of the children's memories and thoughts of Queen Elizabeth II during our class discussion.
