Week 3

In English, we have been enjoying the story 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Drew Daywalt. With Mrs Lawrence, we learnt about how to make inferences and answered inference questions about our book. In our writing lessons, we have been learning about the features of a letter and wrote our own letters based on the story. Our letters were written by items in the classroom that were angry or fed up and wanted to quit. We had a clock that was fed up of not being looked at, a door that is fed up of being opened and closed, glue sticks that are fed up of having their lids left off and a carpet that is fed up of being walked all over.

We continued our PSHE by thinking about the difference between things we need and things we want. We offered some advice to Jack’s mum about whether she should spend her money on food and bills, or presents for Jack’s birthday.
