What a busy first week back! We have started our new topic this week- Who first lived in Britain?
Travelling back through time, we’ve found out about the evolution of the human species and then considered what Britain was like during pre-history. The children have learnt about the Ice Age, pre-historic animals and that Britain was part of the continent of Europe, before it became an island. We have started using some of this knowledge in our dance lessons- imagining what it would’ve been like for early Stone Age hunter-gatherers and the animals that were hunted.
We have also been working very hard calculating totals using different apparatus and recording our work, using formal column addition methods.
